Deep Tissue Massage - Therapeutic, penetrating touch that relieves muscular tension, can give relief from sports injuries and helps with injury rehabilitation.
Cranio-sacral Therapy - Light finger pressure to optimize a movement pattern within the body, known as the cranial wave. Focus and gentleness are the foundations of this work. It is said that the cranial wave is "the Voice of the Spirit." Through this work, the Spirit is heard and given a platform in which to express itself.
Other Life Regressions - Sometimes in order to heal, it is necessary to experience the surroundings (physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual) of the inception of the trauma. That could be in another lifetime. With the use of guided visualization and gentle light touch, the client experiences the events in a caring, sacred, non-judgmental space. Brooke has the ability to be present in that lifetime with the person and when complete, to accompany the person to this present lifetime. We say "other" rather than"past" because it is our belief that time is not linear, that events are occurring simultaneously. Hence, there is no past, nor is there a future. There is Now, the present, occurring in many different dimensions or lifetimes.
Shiatsu - Based on the acupuncture system but uses fingers, (and literally means 'finger pressure' in Japanese), hands, elbows, forearms and feet, rather than needles, to stimulate Qi, the body's vital force. The name of the VITAL FORCE in Chinese is called, CHI and in Japanese is called KI. This vital force flows along connected energetic pathways called meridians, which in turn are connected to organs or a psychophysical function. When we are healthy, this Chi or Ki flows without interruption. Injury, disease, poor diet, lack of movement, stress is just a few of the causes of impeded Chi or Ki flow.
Emotion Release - When the body is given a safe place to relax and release, stored emotions can be expressed and released, which may be needed for optimal health. This can occur through any type of bodywork and can take the form of crying, screaming, and shouting with body movements. In this day and age, having a release outlet for stored negative emotions is truly needed for optimum health. Choosing to stuff or hang onto the negative feelings can only lead to lack of ease in the five bodies.
Visualization Techniques - Brooke uses guided imagery in her work for many different reasons such as to help facilitate releases (physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual), to deepen the session, to seek answers from the other side as well from the clients higher nature to name a few. The image comes to Brooke either in the pre-session meditation or in the first few minutes of the actual session. Hence, it is personalized for each individual's journey.
Meditation - A practice for the cultivation of awareness, presence, timelessness, and peace. As Thich Nhat Hanh says, "Meditation is to be aware of what is going on: in your body, in your feelings, in your mind and I the world." Realizing the importance of meditation and its place in a person's healing process, Brooke (who has been meditating for 20 years) now offers a free meditation class weekly for her clients. Those who choose to participate in the class will find the introspection a very helpful adjunct to their sessions.
Qigong - An ancient Chinese healing system of simple movements, combined with conscious breathing and meditative intention. Qi rides on the oxygen molecules, so when we take deep breaths, we are taking in chi as well as oxygen. There are basically three types of qi gong - martial, medical and spiritual. Brooke weaves these into her sessions as well as her classes. Tai Chi Chuan is a cousin to Qigong, combining a calm meditative mind with conscious breathing, yet it is a martial art meaning "supreme or ultimate fist". The simple movements are brought together to create a form. Quite restorative and healing, Medical Qi Gong, is both a modality Brooke uses as well as a practice that is taught to facilitate balance and harmony within the energetic body where all disease begins. Brooke believes that it is very important to know how to breathe correctly to support the flow of qi, so it is taught early in the sessions.
